"Father, you have made the union of man and wife so holy a mystery that it symbolizes the marriage of Christ and his Church." (from one of the Nuptial Blessings)
"But from the beginning of Creation, 'God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother (and be joined to his wife), and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate." (Mark 10:6 - 9) (more info on the Sacrament of Marriage on the USCCB website)
Couples who wish to be married are asked to contact one of our parish priests and be willing to participate in a marriage preparation program. This preparation time usually takes six months. Either priest will help you through the civil and religious requirements to celebrate this gift of love. Contact us
If the couple is coming from another parish to be married at St. Mary’s Church, they need to bring a Letter of Permission from their parish when they meet with one of our priests.
